This site is served by Vercel. To deliver each page, Vercel processes your IP address, the address (URL) of the page you request and your browser’s user agent.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a service provided by Google, to count visits. When you open a page, your browser loads Google’s analytics script from www.googletagmanager.com and sends Google information about the visit, including:

• the address (URL) and title of the page you visited, and the page you came from;
• your browser, device, operating system, screen size and language;
• your approximate location, which Google works out from your IP address (Google says Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses);
• a random identifier stored in a cookie;
• possibly interactions such as scrolling down a page and clicking links to other sites, including the artist’s shop.

Cookies. When analytics storage is on, Google Analytics sets two cookies: _ga stores a random identifier that tells visitors apart, and _ga_GW681K9MB9 stores the state of your current visit. Google sets them to last two years by default; Chrome and some other browsers keep a cookie for at most 400 days. Apart from these Google Analytics cookies, this site’s code sets no cookies.

Retention. We have set Google Analytics to keep event-level and user-level data for 14 months. Because user data is reset on new activity, a returning visitor’s user-level data is kept for 14 months from their most recent visit. This setting does not affect the aggregated data in standard reports.

What we use it for. Only to understand how many people visit and which pages are useful. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising: the site’s code denies advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalization for every visitor, Google signals is off, and the Analytics property is not linked to Google Ads.

Google may process this information in the United States and other countries. Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Your cookie choice

A banner asks every visitor to accept or decline analytics cookies until they choose, and Cookie settings in the footer opens it again at any time. Your choice, granted or denied, is kept in your browser’s local storage under ga-consent.

For visitors Google locates in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, analytics storage stays off until you choose Accept, so no Google Analytics cookie is set before then. Elsewhere it is on by default, so the cookies are set when the first page loads, before you choose.

While analytics storage is off, because you declined or have not yet accepted in those countries, Google Analytics still sends Google measurements without cookies or the random identifier (Google calls this advanced consent mode). If you decline, Google Analytics stops using its cookies, but cookies it has already set are not deleted automatically; you can clear them in your browser.

Email and external sites

If you email services@englishhornpainting.com, Cloudflare Email Routing forwards the message to our inbox; we receive your email address and whatever you include, and use it only to read and reply to your message. Links to the artist’s shop and other sources take you to services governed by their own privacy policies.
